The Blink XT (an Amazon product) is a 1080P IP65 weatherproof rated camera configured for both indoor and outdoor use. Also, I feel like the spotlight could be a little brighter and the event notifications should be at least 1 minute. Possible drawbackĪ second battery is almost a mandatory if you live in a high traffic area or adjust the sensitivity of the camera. Also, I like the second battery slot, and the optional solar panel. I really like the automatic light when my wife pulls into the driveway at night. The main reason why I purcahsed this camera is the spotlight. This camera features twi-way audio, live and remote viewing, and cloud storage. The Ring Spotlight Cam Battery is 1 of only a few cameras that activate a spotlight upon detecting motion.
Ring Spotlight Cam Batteryįull disclosure: I own 2 of these cameras. Also, this camera uses an upgraded base station, and I am not a fan of base stations. I feel like I shouldn’t have to pay extra for a more secure camera. Like the Pro, I don’t like the wall mount. I also like that Arlo includes rechargeable batteries with the security kit. I like the option to look back to see what happened before the event.

The Alro Pro 2 is the upgraded version of the Arlo Pro. I feel that the cameras could move or fall off in very high winds. I am also concerned with the magnetic wall mounts that come with the cameras. Because base stations must be plugged in, it’s kind of cheating to say its wire free. I am not a huge fan of a base station on wire-free cameras. I like to talk to people even when I’m not home. Many cameras on this list (including my favorite on this list) charge a monthly fee to save your events in the cloud. I like that this camera offers free 7-day cloud storage. The camera is IP65 weather resistant rated includes advanced motion detection. The base station includes local storage and an emergency siren.
